Can you make alcohol out of pasta?

I know you can make alcohol out of rice (like rice wine or Saki exist) And considering rice is just small pasta, can you make alcohol out of pasta? If so, what would it taste like?

Yes. Anything with sugar can be fermented. If you break down starch, you get sugar. Rice pasta will ferment into rice beer or "wine". Wheat pasta will ferment into a wheat beer or

"wine". The quotes are there because, by definition, wine cannot be made from grains; beer can. However, I would not try making pasta beer. While there are such things as wheat beers, the grain bill is more than half barley. You CAN make a wine from the water used to boil potatoes and it can be pretty good. You might want to experiment with the water you drain off your pasta. Don't expect too much, though.

Rice is just small pasta? lol. No. You can make alcohol out of WHEAT, which is how you make pasta... it's called beer.

probably not, especially if it's boiled already.

    "rice is just small pasta"

Which is also a grass. And pasta can be made from rice, too.

Pasta is usually made of wheat flour. And yes, wheat is often made into alcohol. Some vodka is wheat based. You can ferment just about anything.  But it would be easier to distill wheat than pasta.
