I don't know perhaps they thought it was more important to try to fix Obamacare and maybe they didn't want to add to the investigations considering Trump was dealing with the Russian collusion thing.

Joe Biden didn't announce that he was running for president until this year.  When he became the major rival to Trump, he became a target. 

Biden was beating Trump in head-to-head polling match-ups.  Trump then decided to pressure Ukraine to "investigate" him.

  Except that Giuliani was already checking things out in the Ukraine.  Giuliani said he was the source for Solomon's articles published in The Hill on April 1 and April 7.  Biden announced his 2020 run for President on April 25.

There was no reason to investigate. Trump waited until he could use Hunter Biden's job against his father.  There was nothing to investigate.  It was never a secret.

  There were questions in 2015 and supposedly everything was swept under the rug since Biden's other son was dying of cancer and no one wanted to add to his stress.  Just saying if a VP can't handle undue stress in his life, what would being President do?  Biden is only running to get Trump.
