How did people live up to 200 years in biblical times? ?
Why don’t we live that long too?

After the Great Flood, the environment changed for the worse (more UV rays and less O2) resulting DNA codes being significantly corrupted more and more. The reason why people age is that after years of UV rays and such jacking with their DNA, it doesn't work as well and the body in turns begins to wear down. So ages went from the 900s to less than 200 after just a few generations.

At those times they were always inventing a god and they used all sorts of lies to promote their BS. They likely would have noted human age by use o Egyptian years; a year then would be about 1 month today. Methuselah 969 yrs would be about 80.75 yrs,Adam 930 yrs, more like 77.5 yrs, and Noah 950 years, maybe 79.17 yrs. Also the bible likes to add zeros.

Evidently, back in the Good Old Days, people had constant-length telomeres, proteins that didn't get cross-linked by sulfide bonds, and enzymes strongly resistant to degradation by free radicals. You see how easy religion is? (Note: I'm a humble person; no need to thank me.)

Up to 900+, actually. They probably had longer telomeres than we do. One bad mutation in Noah or his wife, and presto change-o, gradually shortening life spans.

They didn't. That's all part of the magic pretend make believe woo woo they are trying to sell you. People live longer today because of scientific advancement of medicine. Better antibiotics and other medication. We are more educated about diet now then we were back then. You would be very lucky to live to about 60 or so back then. And that's if your teeth didn't kill you first. Nobody on this planet ever lived past 130 tops. If people actually lived that long, then we would have a more complete picture of history filled with details. Never happened.

God is trying to get enough righteous people to fill the earth. In the beginning humans were meant to live forever. So lived almost 1000 years. Which is one day with God. But they used that time to become very wicked. No telling what all they did. why God brought the flood of Noah's day. So he cut there time down to 120 years. If someone is good and kind and loving for his whole life or even the last half he will probably be good forever. Eventually he will have enough righteous people to fill the earth. Even if Adam and Eve sinned and most humans sin that did not stop his purpose.

The same reason Gods live forever, we make stuff up.

The bible is fiction. Noah died at 950 years old! How anyone can take that nonsense seriously is a testament to stupidity.
- tentofieldLv 72 weeks ago
They didn't. Historical records show ages to be much lower than they are today. The Bible is not a historical record.

Because God willed us to not live longer.
