Why do some parents "breed true", while other parents have children who look, sound, and behave wildly different than they do?

Ask outside of yahoo dog section regarding children

It’s called recessive traits, these cause rare variations

White people tend to have messed up genetics. They become rapists and pedofile and they defend themselves by reminding everyone that they invented everything we use just to make their pedophilia crimes less magnifying so people wouldn't call them out.

Most probably recessives. Dominant genes you can see, but if each parent is carrying an unseen trait, doubling up will bring that trait to the fore. This is where, with animal breeding line-breeding can be more predictable and why breeders tend to stick to the 'tried and tested'. It's when two sets of genes that have not been put together before, are bred together, that you can get the less expected. And with dog breeding, this is why outcross (within the same breed!) breeding can produce the best of the best, or the worst of the worst. And again why breeders tend to line-breed, even if at some point they do need to do an outcross mating.
Breeding is quite an art.
I am assuming, perhaps wrongly? that this is about dogs as it's posted on this section?

Because they're creating children, not clones
