a baked potato has about 80 calories. The same potato deep fried will not only add 3x' more calories, but added saturated fat. The extra fat makes you tired, and less likely to walk, dance or move around. So when out eating fries, you will be less active, and are taking in 3xs more calories to burn off. plus fat takes more movement to burn off.

Because french fries are fried in deep oil, that takes away all the natural minerals potato ever had..

It's not like potatoes are healthy and french fries are unhealthy.

Potatoes are HEALTHIER than french fries, yes. The less processed a product is, the more healthier it usually is.

French fries are cooked in and soaked in fat. Basic potatoes are fat free.
