When applied operant conditioning can alter behavior. It is a model for behavior change, and can be utilized by clinical and experimental psychologist in the understanding and changing of human thoughts and behaviors.

The title of his book should tell you - The Behavior of Organisms. Although this is not widely known, his Verbal Behavior is important because his Radical Behaviorism - the idea that language is behavior that can be studied and his idea that reports of people's behaviors are scientific evidence - led to cognitive-behavioral therapy. CBT is more or less what clinical psychology is all about.
