If you move into somebody’s apartment without a key, how would you be able to get one? ?
If you move your things into their apartment, but they didnt give you a key yet, do you go to the front desk?
And what should be said to the front desk?

You would ask the person whose apt. it is to make you a copy. Are you on the lease? If so the apt. complex should give you one. If not, going to the complex could get your friend evicted for unauthorized tenant.

no front desk. Acquire roommate's key and have a duplicate made, or call a locksmith, or change the locks and give roommate and landlord a copy of the new key.

get the locks changed......with the landlords permission.
sounds like an illegal sublet, go to the front desk and get kicked out....they can only deal with the tenant of record....
there would be a front desk if there was a concierge

You can ask that somebody's apartment as you put it to make you a copy of the apartment key.

It is not called the front desk. It is not a hotel.
No you do not go to the manager unless you are a proper & legal tenant approved by the landlord & on the lease. If you are then you should have gotten a key when you moved in.
If this is an illegal sublease & you go to the manager they will not give you a key because you are not an authorized tenant. In addition you will alert the manager to the fact that you are illegally subleasing which can result in you both getting evicted & the person that rented to you can be sued.

Yes, go to the front desk and tell them you are squatting and demand a key.

Front desk? Is this an apartment or a hotel? If an apartment and you signed to be put on the lease, ask the landlord for one. If it's an apartment and the landlord doesn't know you're there, chances are you're there illegally, in which case you need to either move out, talk to the landlord, or keep a VERY low profile, or both you and the official tenant can be evicted.

You have a copy made or call a locksmith. The landlord is not going to give you a key without the renter's permission.

When you sign the lease, you will get a key from the landlord.
I've never lived in an apartment with a "front desk".

Only way to get one is from them, assuming you are not on the lease.
