    Music artists don't develop headphones.

    Headphone manufacturers do the development

and an artist licenses the use of their name on a particular design.

So far, none have turned out to be as good as a non-endorsed model.

If you happen to see a picture of a pop star in a recording studio,

you can pretty well bet the headphones in use Won't have that

    performer's name on them.

None. Just like Ariana Grande, all other celebrities whose name appear on products just get paid for their endorsement. A tiny few might actually examine those products before agreeing to have their name splashed all over it.

That includes Dr Dre. He may have created the Beats brand and although he definitely approved the initial products he left the design and engineering to people who trained for those jobs. And that meant they could sell total cack worth no more than about $25 for ten times as much money.

And that’s the entire point of paying any celebrity for the use of their name and image.
