Did early boxes of Cracker Jacks have tiny toys in them and a prize with a kernal of caramel corn in it?

Yes. In the beginning they sold for peanuts and when they had enough, they started adding them to the mix.

Then they sold them for money, ran out of peanuts, KFC bought the kernal, and thus the sad state they're in today.

Actually, the early prizes were real cars,& they called it CAR-A-MEAL corn..

But,the boxes had to be too big,& it was too expensive..So,they switched to caramel,& crappy little prizes.😳

In Breakfast at Tiffany's........they actually had a Cracker Jack ring  engraved at Tiffany's.

You got REAL   prizes back then.........these days, all you get is  a lame sticker.

I can remember some of the snap-together little plastic toys at least.

Early Cracker Jacks had nice tiny toys,  caramel corn and peanuts. Any recent box I've purchased has had a sticker,  caramel corn and a couple peanuts
