Is this for her to shoot or you to shoot her?

When I met my wife 20 years ago she has a Walther PPK/s 380auto in a baby soft Galco Shoulder holster. The holster had the pistol on the left side and two full mags on the right to balance the shoulder holster.
PPK/s is not a cheap date. You'll be dropping $600+. Walther has spent the last 4 years building a new manufacturing facility in Fort Smith, AR that is totally Walther owned and follows the same quality control as their German made guns. Walther's are over the top reliable, very smooth to hold, have a great feel, - and are one of the few pistols you can buy today that will actually appreciate in value over the years.
If money is an issue and you don't care about appreciation - there are several 'knock off's' of the PPK/s design for half the cost.

There is no such thing as a Colt/Taurus lol.
Get her a bigger gun next, or small rifle

Do you feel lucky, punk? You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do you, punk?

If she is comfortable with the Taurus, best that is her only gun.
Buy a brick of ammo, go to the range and shoot til it becomes subconscious, an extension of the hand.
There are many smaller guns with a less recoil if that is any issue for her.
Try some on for size, get her take.
