A sample of nitrogen gas at -25.0 C and 92.0 kPa occupies a volume of 13.0 L. How many moles of nitrogen is in the sample? Include units in your answer.

n = PV/RT = (92.0 kPa)*(13.0 L) / [(8.31 L kPa / K mol)*((-25.0 °C + 273) K)

= 0.580 moles

PV=nRT -> Ideal gas law

P = 92kPa

V=13 L

n= ?

R = 8.314472( L*kPa/K*mol) - Constant

T = -25C + 273.15 = 248.15K

(92kPa)(13L) = n(8.314472)(248.15K)

= 0.5797mols ---> 0.58 mols (2 sig digits)
