Why is it that, if you arrive at a nightclub with a mixed gender ratio of friends, the bouncers will let the girls in but not the guys?
Even though you arrived there with a group of friends, how is it fair that only some of your friend group can get in while the others don't, even though you are altogether as a group?

Guys buy drinks for girls.
Te first casualty of Women's Lib was US paying for YOU. A bar is a business and they will do what they can to make business better.

Your mistake is that you are assuming the club is concerned with being fair to their customers. They are not.

That IS NOT generally accurate. Where it is, it depends ENTIRELY of the individual nightclub.

Because this world is a very sexist place! Some people think it's okay to discriminate against males!

Because the attractive women are magnets for guys to will buy drinks. The unattractive women aren't.
It's private property and a private business, they can do what they want.
I do not use alcohol, and don't go in for all the shallowness of club life. But then again, neither do any of my female friends.

Because it's private property and they can let in whoever they like. They do it all the time at clubs that attract the "in" crowd and celebrities
Private businesses arent exempt from discrimination laws. Jack Phillips, owner of a private bakery in Colorado, has been sued for discrimination on a number of occasions.
Jason Brody: You are DEAD WRONG. Jim Crow laws DID NOT allow businesses to 'do what they want. They REQUIRED discrimination.
