Gun round up after ban ?

Question

After the USA gun ban how will all the guns be rounded up? Will crazy people refuse and start trying to shoot the people charged with rounding up the guns?

If the ban ever came to fruition, they'd have drop off places for people to hand them in, I'm guessing.

In Australia the guns were compulsorily purchased but Americans have a fanatical, almost religious, belief in the right to own guns that probably wouldn't work in the USA.

It would take a Constitutional Amendment to ban guns. That will take years. Relax, there is no rush.

In Britain legal gun owners but holders of soon to be banned guns were given time to hand them in only the police bought them from them, illegal gun holders were given time to hand them in, for free but no prosecution and then some guns are still allowed and that is fine. You don't need to ban every gun and even if you don't know much about guns you know there is no need to be having something capable of "rat-a-tat-atat."
