Ashley has dipped his hand in his own pocket over the last years and just showed how committed he really was/is with Newcastle. His latest investments have flopped (not Football) so he will be out to get the maximum he can get.Who can blame him ?

He wants to sell yet he won't accept decent offers. Doesnt make sense. He's a greedy man like most fat men tend to be. Imagine had that Arab bought Newcastle instead as he had planned before buying Man City

They're not really a bad side now, look at some of the teams they're above, Spurs, Everton, West Ham, all of those have far far higher budgets. Many tipped Newcastle for relegation the last few seasons but they're consistently mid-table. They've won nothing major for the past 60 years so I'm not sure why their fans are expecting anything more than they're getting now. Coming 2nd a few times 20 years ago doesn't make you a big club.

When he gets what he wants for his business, his asset.
