Silicone mold questions?

Hi, I'm trying to make a silicone mold to cast a resin guitar body. Where is a good place to find a 1:1 silicone mix to make a mold? I need about 2 gallons (The only kind on Amazon is $26.99 for 21oz, which is a little pricey for how much I need). Where is the best place to buy it in bulk for a cheaper price?

Also, if I don't have enough, if you pour several layers will it adhere together as a solid mold after the first layer cures (like resin, but silicone instead)?

Thank you!

www.tapplastics.com has things for that and also some how-to.

Nothing in the world will bond to cured silicone, not even more silicone.

Silicone is very expensive. I would look at alternatives - for the kind of shape you are talking about you may be able to use a rigid mould like plaster which is as cheap as chips.

Silicone mold making material is expensive. I doubt you will find it any cheaper than Amzoncrap
