The Ptolemaic Period refers to a period in Egyptian history, after the Ptolemies, who were Macedonian Greeks, became the Pharaohs of Egypt.  Cleopatra was a Ptolemy.

The art was sometimes Hellenistic, late-Greek-influenced, rather than traditional Egyptian, or a combination of both styles.  On the site below, scroll down to "Art".

The era of Ptolemaic reign in Egypt is one of the best-documented time periods of the Hellenistic period; a wealth of papyri written in Koine Greek and Egyptian have been discovered in Egypt.[
