Why do some people think Nutmeg is a drug?

I put one tablespoon in my drink once and nothing. This must be a gimmick or myth

Nutmeg contains myristicin, a natural compound that has mind-altering effects if ingested in large doses. The buzz can last one to two days and can be hallucinogenic, much like LSD. most of the nutmeg which you purchase in the store has been heated or roasted at a sufficient temperature to render this chemical inert. However if you grind up a fresh nutmeg. Into powder it can be extremely hallucinogenic. But the high that you get off of nutmeg is absolutely horrible. Your burps will taste terrible you'll get dizzy you'll get a headache and you're really feel like crap for about 3 days. It's actually more poisoning then anything else. But yes there are people that actually do this but once they do at once they don't do it again because the side effects are so terrible in order to gain the little bit of euphoria and hallucinations that you get.
