gustar = to be pleasing to

So:  Are the novels pleasing to you?  

       Te gustan las novelas?

I think you are not supposed to change the word order. Then you need to place the adjective "grande" BEFORE the noun "biblioteca."

1. estudiante / llegar / grande / biblioteca / 5:30 p.m.

El estudiante llega a la GRAN biblioteca a las cinco y media de la tarde.  

The adjective "grande" is shortened when it is placed before a singular noun.

Examples:

- una casa grande - una gran casa

- un jardín grande - un gran jardín

¿Te gustaN las novelas de terror?

The verb "gustar" agrees in number with the thing/s someone likes.

Examples: 

¿Te gustA esta novela de terror?

novela: singular noun ---> gustA: singular verb

novelaS: plural noun ---> gustaN: plural verb
