    yes of course you can, just make sure you drain all the water out

    Yes ma'am.  You can also nuke a potato for a couple minutes before boiling or baking to save time.

    For 'roast' potatoes, its best to par-boil them, drain and then roast in oil on a tray. For a Jacket baked potato, I'd stab it with a fork, M.wave for 8 mins, then bake it for about an hour.

    Of course you can, but why would you? You can oven roast them if you want a more substantial skin, or wrap them in foil if you prefer a softer skin. You can even make jacket potatoes if you oil the skin and bake on high for the first 20 minutes, then reduce the heat for 45 minutes.

    Yes, but only half cook it when boiling then the other half will cook while it's baking.

    Yes you can, my Mom used to do it all the time.
