Is it true, Nixon had nothing to do with the Watergate break-in and didn't find out until later? Also, according to his speechwriter and...?

economics consultant, Ben Stein, he did not personally approve a cover-up but knew one was planned. Which still makes him guilty.

The first part is true. The second part you could debate about but is likely true.

It no longer matters either way:

    1. Nixon was pardoned

    2. Nixon is dead.

Ben Stein has been caught in SO many lies.  8^P

The 'smoking gun' was found on one of Nixon's tapes.  He was told the actual crooks caught in the break-in could be bribed to keep quiet but it could cost a million dollars.  He said 'Getting a million dollars would be no problem'.

Since Nixon's departure from the White House, the rest of the tapes are being released, a little at a time.  On the tapes we've heard since then there are all kinds of bad things.  Nixon committed MANY crimes in office, just as Trump probably has.
