How do I find out the value of a wrought iron bird cage?

I found this wrought iron bird cage at a boot sale in Naples and want to find out:

a. Is it vintage?

b. What decade it was made in?

c. Is it valuable?

It measures:

Height: 112cm

Depth: 36cm

Width: 30cm

I bought it because I like it, I think it looks very decorative, so won't be disappointed if it's not worth anything.

Shame I can't add more photos, as this doesn't give it justice.

It is detachable.

Scrap iron is currently bringing $0.45 per pound in the US or £0.14 per kilogram in the UK.  Look for foundry markings possibly on the underside of the base casting and maybe we can find some history and possibly a market price.

Add more photos to a site like It allows you to make new albums or just add them 1 by 1. That may garner more answers.

Closeups of the welds, hinges and any fasteners offers a very general indication of age. Something may look old but antiqued is a word.
