I think a preschool teacher needs a college degree.

sure if they have the ability to actually do the job.

an actual pre school teacher needs a BA degree in teaching.

a teachers aide only needs a high school diploma or AA degree at most. (there are laws that say its supposed to be 2 years college, but there is a way around that).

some daycares will hire aides without a high school diploma.  I think most want the daycare teachers to at least have an AA degree.

As far as getting the BA degree, help may be limited to organizing reasonable accommodations in college such as extra time for tests. They don't pay college tuition for most people, mostly only if you actually need college to be able to work such as people with physical disabilities that need desk jobs. Not that you want college to get a better job.

If you can physically and mentally work as a preschool teacher, there are many jobs you can do without college...including daycare aide.

VR may help with things such as arranging transportation if you can't drive, paying for glasses or hearing aids if you need them to work.
