Then they cannot and will not learn for themselves about God. Children should be taught from an early age to seek truth for themselves.

They often discover the truth on their own. Otherwise they have to do their best to make it through life without the love and guidance of God.

It's more important for kids to understand spirituality first and religion second, God is not a religion, God is a Spirit of Love that represents all that is...religion is a symbol of thought's and practices of specific beliefs, there can only be one creator but thousands of beliefs is what is occurring in this world.... Kids should be taught the principles of Love and to know only Love is real, there is no hate in love or can any argument be made that love can be a form of hate or hate be a form of love, Form only occurs on the level of the human mind which believes it is separate from God, that is why atheist demand evidence and never find it, everyone is looking outward and not realizing they need only look inward...Jesus himself said in Luke, The Kingdom of Heaven comes not by observation, for behold, the Kingdom of Heaven is within you..... and how soon we forget that.

You get children with no spirituality, no moral compass,  no hope except to grow old,  get sick and die. That is the lot of every atheist.
