Why didn't the 49ers get to kick the extra point after the last touchdown against Arizona?

I believe it made quite a difference to a lot of people who had money on the game whether they won by 10 or 11.

Update:

OK, I see they changed the rules after the 2017 playoffs Minnesota miracle game because of the crowd they had to clear off the field before kicking an irrelevant extra point.

Just for the record, the 49ers closed as a 10 point favorite, the Cardinals were ahead by 3 with less than a minute left in the game, and it ended up a push. I guess people who bet on the 49ers can't complain that much about not getting a chance at that extra point.

They changed the rules, so now you don't have to kick a PAT or go for 2 when scoring a winning touchdown at the end of regulation.

To kill time, if they kick the other team will get the ball with some time

The49ers had won the game. The NFL doesn't care about point spreads.

If the game is decided and there’s no time left they never allow the extra point since it’s risking player safety for gamblers.
