How would you write the description of a dog barking for someone who has always been deaf?

Let them see an actual live barking 🐕. A dog that isn't barking won't have the head and jaw motions that go with the noise, which they can't hear.

Tell the person to bang their fist on a table. That vibration is kind of like a dog's bark.

Tell this deaf person that barking is a loud sound or noise which only dogs make. Each dog barks, some loudly and some softly.  It is a characteristic of dogs. Other animals make sounds also.  Cats "meow." and they kind of sound like a baby crying.

Easily. You write it. And also they can still read it. They are not blind!

I wouldn't, because I don't care about deaf people or anyone who isn't my wife.
