Can I enlist in the military with a mostly removed small hand tattoo?

I had a small tattoo on my hand I had got a couple years back when I was really drunk at a girls house who had some tattoo equipment. I have since burned them off with cigarettes but the ink is still slightly visible through the scar. I know that the military loosened their tattoo policy but hand neck/head tattoos are still not allowed.

You would be best to talk with a recruiter. It will vary based on branches of the military

Yes. The tattoo policy has definitely been relaxed recently.

Did you remove just the tattoo or the whole hand?

You got a tattoo while drunk, then tried burning them off? No, you don't meet military mental health standards!

You are PDQd due to the self mutilation of the cigarette burns

Let's hope that the military doesn't see the burn scar as the self-harm, which is PDQ.

Your problem may be the cigarette burns.

The bigger problem here is likely to be the self inflicted burn scar.
