    Ga(g) + e- --> Ga^-(g) ....................... EA = 28.9 kJ/mol

    Electron affinity is the energy which is given off when 1 mole of electrons is acquired by 1 mole of neutral gaseous atoms, forming the -1 ion.

    There really is no "second" electron affinity because once the atom acquires a negative charge it will repel an incoming electron.
