Why do some people think they're bad at speaking English when they're not?

people caught up in the PC movement, it's just more darkness/malarky......tryin to be regular....like the stupid insurance advertisements, they all say PERSCRIPTIONS, and

only the federal government say PRESCRIPTIONS like it should be, I know why they say different too.......

If they are genuinely not bad, perhaps it's lack of confidence?

It's far more common for people to think they're really good at writing (and speaking) English, when they're really bad!
