    Steatoda nobilis is highly vulnerable to being hit with a shoe

    A harmless cobweb spider, one of the false black widows. Looks to be Steatoda nobilis (nobel false widow) but might be Steatoda grossa. (female)

    Looks somewhat like a Chilean recluse, but I'm no expert on American spiders.
