Should football players who get in fights on the field get arrested?

    no not necessarily. let the NFL and athletic associations deal with these incidents

    If the police ran onto the field to arrest a player, it would turn into a circus from the crowd.

    Depending on the act, yes. Swinging a helmet is the same as swinging a bat or club on the streets.

    Possibly, but not in the case you're talking about, but it got close, if Rudolph would have sustain blunt trauma, it might take place.

    No. Football players who do get in fights are suspended, and their teams and themselves also get fined. For example, in the last fight with Myles Garrett and Mason Rudolph, both the Steelers and the Browns were fined $250,000. Sure, if a player kills another guy, then obviously they should be sent to jail. But for fighting? It's a part of the game, you get emotional, you get heated. That's the joy of football.

    Nope, why should they be ? It's a part of the game and technically they are not breaking any law when they get in a fight.

    That premise would completely end the sport of ice hockey. Most fight are no big deal. A penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct is sufficient for almost all of them.
