small knee joint effusion after total knee replacement what does that mean?

Call your doctor on Monday and tell them about it and ask if you need to be seen or is this something that should go away in a few days. They need to know about it at least anyway.

I had it in the UK after my replacement. It is simply water on the knee. It can be aspirated with a needle but mine disappeared in a week or so. Don't panic it's quite common.

Talk with the surgeon. There are many factors hat might cause that. Since we know nothing about you, your medical history, the exact surgical process or anything else, we could only guess.
