on your feet a lot, got to remember things, smile, be nice to jerks as much as possible, etc. I always preferred to be in the back of the house which is why I was a chef for 25 years till I retired. BUT some people love it and the tips can be huge.

Of course. Much larger variety of food to prepare and more walking around. Customers also demand their orders are prepared to their liking. If they’re not satisfied, you bend over backward to please them. In a fast food joint, you’re working in a small area, cranking out the same unchallenging junk over and over for people who aren’t very sophisticated. If it’s hot and greasy, they’re happy.

I meant to say if it was difficult to be a waiter/waitress at a normal restaurant compared to working at a fast food joint.
