I'm trying to teach my cat to whistle. Anyone have some good ideas?
The answer from Minni was brilliant. Is there any possibility that the cat might teach the pet bird to meow? Mutual exchange and all? I would love to come home from a long day at work and have them conversing in both languages.

Get a pet bird and let the cat learn from the bird.

Tell it to pinch it's lips and wiggle the tongue.

Cats can't and don't whistle. Sorry. But if you get a bird like a parrot, you can easily teach the bird to whistle.

You can try until it meets its maker and it still won't work. You can teach your cat to come to you when you whistle. I taught my family cat to do that by whistling and then tempting him with a toy. When he heard a whistle, he knew it was play time and would come running. He loved to play.

Yes. Forget it. It isn't going to happen.

While you're at it, try teaching your cat to chirp.

Blow your cat up with hot air, then simply.. release.
