Can Solicitors make a clients chq payable to the clients daughter if the client does not have a bank account?

Solicitors are door to door salesmen in the USA. I think they are lawyers in England. Neither better alter a check. A client without a bank account better not write checks. What the hell kind of fraud is going on here?
