    Given,

    Acceleration (a) = 2ft/sec²

    Initial velocity (u) = ?

    Distance (d) = 100ft

    Time (t) = 5sec

    Using kinematic relation:-

    Distance (d) = ut + ½at²

    100ft = u x 5 + ½ x 2ft/sec² x (5sec)²

    100ft = (5u)sec + 25ft

    (5u)sec = (100-25)ft

    Initial velocity (u) = (75/5)ft/sec = 15ft/sec

    ∴ Initial velocity (u) = 15ft/sec.

    100 = Vo*t+a/2*t^2

    100 = Vo*5+2/2*5^2

    75 = Vo*5

    Vo = 75/5 = 15 ft/sec
