The difference of 20 and a number divided by 2

Is it written like 20x/2? hoping I did it right!

    So 20 - (x/2)

    No .. what you have written is ''20 times a number'' divided by 2

    The correct answer depends on what you mean.

    The difference of 20 and a number ... divided by 2 .. is (20 - X) / 2

    or

    The difference of 20 and ... a number divided by 2 .. is 20 - (X/2)

    Let number be x

    May be read as :-

    (20 - x)/2

    or

    20 - x/2

    "difference" means subtraction so I would say: x-20 / 2 but I don't know, that's what google says.
