What should you do if you know someone is faking a chronic illness for disability outside of reporting it to their doctors, ssi, and family?

not much you can do..........and yes i know people that faked disability to get SSDI.

studies have shown that MOST kids on SSI do not qualify (about 2/3rds by their parents own admission in an anonymous survey)

and 40-60% of adults don't meet the definition of severe disability...yet get approved because docs are stupid and the people lie

What makes you think they are faking? Check your facts first, seems family, doctors and SSI would know before you would.

    • I have always felt the additional cost of raising a child with a disability is underestimated. Obvious are travel costs for therapy, diapers past baby years, special food, etc. Less are how many things get broken or overused, extra cost for childcare, parents/siblings mental health support and more.

one cannot qualify for social security disability OR state disability benefits without doctor/medical records. Not in the USA, that is.
