Nystatin and Itraconazole. But this is cheap medicine, and you won't get it in the US.

I've tried IBgard (it's over counter) my gastroenterologist recommended. It's main ingredient....peppermint oil.....May sound too easy, but if you follow the instructions plus a reasonable diet....it seems to work.

The best day to day treatment is sticking to an IBS diet intended to identify and remove trigger foods.

Here are a couple of websites that talk about what diet works for what symptoms your IBS gives you:

Best of all is keeping a detailed food diary for a month or more without changing how you eat. On the left side of the page, list what you ate, about how much, and at what time. On the right side, the times aligned as much as you can, you list any IBS symptoms you experience.

Over time, a pattern usually emerges: Foods A, B, and C always make your IBS flare up, so you know to eliminate them.
