"What is it like to be a Fruitarian?"
While I'm not a fruitarian and have no idea what it's like to be one, in general the strict vegetarians, and vegans I've talked with, consider it to not be a safe or healthy diet. This is true especially with those knowledgeable about nutrition. Some strict vegetarians and vegans will even go so far as to state that the diet is not only not sustainable long term, but consider it to be a dangerous dietary plan to try to follow, especially those who eschew eating nuts and seeds.
The argument some fruitarians will TRY to use that gorillas are frugivores, has been disproven, as gorillas have been observed eating ants and termites. Others has tried on a rare occasion to use the orangutan, as an example of what we as humans should eat. Yet they also eat insects as well as the eggs of birds .However more commonly SOME fruitarians TRY to use the chimpanzee, with the claim we're supposed to be frugivores.
As for the fruitarian diet goes, the number who are able to maintain it ten years is very small, and it decreases more over time, as failure to thrive sets in. It's also not a diet that's good to follow, for those who has low sugar or high sugar, and those who are going into the age where adult onset diabetes or type II diabetes starts to develop.

I don't think it's healthy for humans. It's a lot of sugar.

There are fruitarian animals. For instance, the gorilla can be classified as a fruitarian. Since gorillas exist - it can't be lethal.
Oh, BTW, a fruitarian does not just eat fruit. Fruitarians eat seeds and nuts too. Also, Fruitarians define a fruitarian diet as a diet that is 75% fruit, seeds, and nuts. So they get just about the same variety of foods as a raw vegan. Most fruitarians choose their diet because of ethical concerns. They don't want to exploit animals OR plants. You don't have to kill a plant to get its fruits or nuts or seeds.

Primates (and that includes gorillas and humans) have very similar needs.

Sad. Just sad. They must be totally dead inside if they have to keep following the fads.

It's very similar to having down syndrome. They pretty much share the same IQ

Stupid and terminal.
You cannot possibly get all the nutrition you need from fruit and you are likely to end up with diabetes due to the vast amount of sugars in many fruits.
The largest single food category in your diet should be from grain, seed and green veg.
Then smaller amounts of fruit and other foods.
