What is a good rhetorical question to ask about food wastage leading to global warming?

My speech is about food wastage and how it leads to global warming. I would like to insert a rhetorical question like "Why do we keep talking about preventing global warming when we are the ones contributing to it?" but it doesn't sound right to me... how do i rephrase it?

Here's a rhetorical question for you, Super Hans:

Why does paid alarmist troll keep making all these fake questions?

Oh, I know.  He is using Yahoo as a PR board to promote his employer's cause.
