If a guy on the street offers you a quarter to make a quick phone call (using your cell), do you actually hand him your $1,500 smartphone?

    **$150

    And no.

There is a high chance my phone isn't even in service, so would be useless to them anyway.

sounds like a sure con, and a chance to BOLT  with your  $1,500  phone.

Nah! It's definitely a trap. If they genuinely had to make an emergency call, they never would have offered money.

Only idiots would pay $1,500 for a phone

I wouldn't hand him my hundred dollar LG. I'd say, "if you have an emergency, ill be glad to make a call for you". Nobody is running off with my phone.

Easy for me to say "No" because I don't own a cell phone.

Other than family, no one uses my phone. And I would only let family use it because they already have my phone number.
