According to this site, the date of the goods/service being invoiced should remain as the date of delivery or service. The date of the original and the new invoice might change. Please look up online for the system you are using. Tell your manager you checked to make sure, but you want to confirm the way your company wants it.

I am guessing since the new invoice REPLACES the previous one, they should have different dates. so if communication is necessary to go back through old records, your company can explain the first invoice went out on one date, and the second invoice went out on a different date.

Only if you are reprinting and sending a replicated copy of the FIRST invoice should it have the exact same date and information because it's a copy of the same one.

Check with your manager/supervisor and make sure you reference the right dates in the right places so ALL your invoices follow the same format and are consistent for record keeping purposes.
