How important music in movies? ?

    Great music will support the movie by helping evoke the mood, settings, and most importantly emotions the creators have in mind.  

    When done well it is very powerful very important.

    I think it’s essential! 

    But NOT those cheap movies that have music playing though the whole thing, even non-emotional dialog... ugh!

    Perhaps you've heard about the filming of the first Star Wars film. Many of the actors would sometimes laugh on set, thinking it was a B-movie or for kids. But when they went to the opening and that orchestra music started it blew their minds

    I think it makes the film better. Imagine a horror movie without that sudden sound that you hear to get a jump scare or how would the scene by like from chariots of fire without the music when he’s running.
