The LAWYERS for those law firms are who  have won millions!  The drivers involved in accidents haven't.

It's hardly likely that you could ever become  a millionaire as a result of an auto accident. WINNING a million-dollar settlement and COLLECTING it are two different stories. In any event, most of it will end up going to your lawyer; and not to you.

My BIL won 1.5 million from
Black & Decker for an injury. He had to reimburse his medical ins. carrier for the cost of the medical bills they had already paid on his behalf. He couldn't "go to the trough" twice. What with that & his lawyer, he ended up clearing about $500,000 of the 1.5 million.

Sure; you would be Deaf,Dumb& Blind AND crippled in both legs, both arms and your head is missing.  A half sack of fatty meat. I think you could get 10 million, but you would never know it as you fried your penis to a blacken stub in the fiery wreck.  Who is gonna sign the check?

It is one of those game shows where you got to LOSE "More" to win "big".

Remember that Brainy guy in a wheel chair - Stephen Hawking? He could use the million to do "what" exactly?

You would be worse off than HIM.

You just ain't worth that much.

Better to get a Job cleaning out septic tanks or sewers.  Then when you say you had a "S"hitty day, you would be speaking the truth.

It is just an easier way to make some money to ENJOY LIFE while you are ABLE...and "Pretty"

How much of that million did your uncle actually SEE, after paid his lawyers & reimbursed his medical ins. company the money they had already advanced for his medical expenses?

Sure. You could get that amount. If the other driver killed your mommy & they were on drugs. But, most likely, NO.

Anon: Just because someone WINS a million-dollar settlement doesn't mean they're ever going to pocket one million. Right off the top, his lawyers are paid & his health ins. company is reimbursed for the money they're already spent on his medical bills.

I know a guy whose uncle got in a wreck  while riding in a church van driven by the pastor.  He  realized a million or so, but has a broken back. You always Pay for it.

I found this out while down,  a  kid had a lotta car mags. He talked of the car he was building, his uncle  gave him some cash to do it.

If you deliberately cause an accident to sue or gain money., beware that  ins. co's. have good lawyers and investigators. Fraud is not a good thing,

Get in an accident that is not your fault and suffer permanent disfiguring or disabling injuries.  It's just that easy.

There is no set percentage?  The client signs a retainer agreement.  You don't "hire" an attorney.  75% is excessive and the Bar Association would step in. Where did you get your education in law?  What does this have to do with permanent/disfiguring injuries?

You "can" if you are able but you probably will not become a millionaire from a car accident but you "may" become dead or disabled because of a car accident..

Sure! If you have a wining lottery ticket in the car when you have the accident. Otherwise, the only people who will get rich are the lawyers.

The guy with the broken back might have gotten a million. But I bet he didn't tell you that, out of that million, he had to reimburse his private medical ins. for the  doctor & hospital bills they had already paid on his behalf, and pay his attorney. When that's all paid, it doesn't leave much.

Yes, although it's not common.  The money would come from really bad personal injury where the other driver was at fault.  As for your car, insurance just pays to fix or replace it (whichever is cheaper).

  • no its most likely a scam you found
