What can I use in the place of cumin to make chili?

    You can omit it. I don't like the taste of it and never put it in my chili.

    Maybe paprika, it has a warm vibe like cumin, or you could try powdered coriander.

    chili powder, crushed cayenne pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, diced chipotle peppers, salsa, picante sauce.

    You can just leave it out. I honestIy don't think cumin makes that much of a difference. Chili powder, taco seasoning, coriander, caraway, curry powder, etc will do it. You can even add a little bit of cinnamon or nutmeg in its place. There's really no close replacement for cumin though... coriander is the closest.
