Why did Amazon, Valve and Microsoft move there companies to Bellevue ?

I can already guess why.

Because of the homeless, drug addict problems.

Seattle is a mess.

As their staff made more money, they migrated away from the city...which is very common.  Some stayed for sure, but once you've been there a few years, probably more likely to start a family out in the suburbs...

I wont even get into the Seattle vs Corporations argument, which is pretty well known at this point.

I know Seattle tried to charge employers a "head tax" based on the number of employees to provide services for homeless people. Bezos and other CEOs fought it. In addition, Bellevue is a much nicer area than a lot of Seattle.

Probably tax incentives and lower rent for their employees.
