If a man has low testosterone is he more likely to self identify as female and/or be transexual?

    He will have a low sex drive and probably not be very manly.

    He would identify as male, unless he coincidentally was also born with the birth defect making him transsexual.  Normally, transsexuals have average hormone levels for their biological sex..

    The low testosterone would most likely present only as a low sex drive.

    There is no scientific evidence correlating low testosterone to gender dysphoria or transsexualism. 

    However, there are studies which have discovered correlations between Asperger's and autism with gender identity disorders.

    He might self-identify as not particularly interested in sex, but he wouldn't feel other than male.

    Are you suggesting that all females and trangender women are, in reality, slightly malfunctioning males?

  • Hormone levels have nothing to do with whether a person is trans or not. Also, genuine cases of people having hormone imbalances are quite rare.
