What hand counts are the 'dominant hand' when playing pool?

By this, I mean is it the hand placed forward, or the one placed at the back of the stick? Silly question I know, but thanks

The one at the back of the stick. It's usually the same hand that you write with -- for left-handed people, the left hand is considered the "dominant" hand, for example.

the hand you write and throw with.  that is the one you put on the back end of the cue.  You will have better aim and power control if your dominant hand is doing the aiming and pushing.  The other one (the one up front, on the table) is just a place holder, mostly. A fixed platform.

Probably the one at the back...I'm right handed and put my left hand on the table. Lefties do it the other way round.
