Muslims use non Islamic names if they're mentioned in the Quran or by the prophet and didn't object to them. For example the names of all the prophets or their wives or daughter are okay to use .The name Sara is widely used in the Muslim world although it's not an Arabic name, in fact the name of one of the wives of prophet Muhammad was Maria (Mary) and he didn't change it for her.

I thought Islam honored the "People of the Book," that is, Jews and Christians. Many of Islam's prophets are people who lived and died as Jews, such as Isa, Mariam, etc. So why would you not want to use a Hebrew name for a Muslim child? Aren't you dishonoring your own faith's beliefs if you reject the name for that reason?
