Does homeowners insurance cover replacing a whole home generator?

    If stolen, probably.  If it burns, probably.  If it just wears out over time...absolutely not.

    No. Replacing a generator is a wear and tear matter. Not covered.

    If you had a home that had a whole house generator and you can prove it and it was damaged by earthquake or lightning or windstorm your homeowners insurance will cover it with the exception of whatever your deductible was is

    Did a tree fall on it?    Or did it just stop working?
